Gater's Got You, LLC was founded in 2022 in Dearborn Heights, MI, designed to provide a wide array of services with the shared goal of quality of life improvement, offering a variety of treatments, groups and services to improve and help you maintain your optimal health. Whether you are experiencing emotional pain or simply want to improve your physical and mental agility, Gater's Got You, LLC provides the resources to do so in the best way possible! 
Serving the Detroit and Metropolitan area since 2008, Latanya Gater is a proud Detroit native, mother, graduate of Tennessee State University (undergraduate) and University of Detroit Mercy (graduate degree). She is a Master's Level Limited Licensed Psychologist in the state of MI who specializes in providing Psychotherapy, Psychological Assessments, and Case Management Support to children, youth, and families in both public and private sector. She is a culturally competent Psychologist with nearly 10 years of experience working with specialized populations (LGBTQ, Women, Children, Families, Adults, PTSD/Trauma and Substance Abuse). 
She is the CEO of Gater's Got You, LLC created in 2022 to provide supportive services to organizations and individuals who are looking to strengthen DEI&B practices for the advancement of safety and full inclusion, mental health wellbeing and educational growth. All key factors needed for an individual to sustain growth and success. 
She formerly served as the Union Chairperson of AFSCME Council 25/Local 1640-Sub Unit 25. Latanya is currently a member of the UAW. 
She is the first African American woman to be elected to the Dearborn Heights #D7 School Board of Education and was elected President in 2023. She was instrumental in rebirthing the Dearborn Heights Community and Cultural Relations Commission in 2020 and currently the elected Chairperson. Under this Commission, Latanya and her fellow Commissioners have hosted cultural/community events, implemented DEI&B practices, and educated the public on various DEI&B topics (e.g., voting access, housing resources, mental health resources, educational advancement, homelessness, public safety, etc.,).
Latanya is the former Vice Chairperson of the Wayne County Women’s Commission appointed by Wayne County Commissioner David Knezek and reappointed in 2023 by Commission Chairwoman Alisha Bell. This commission is prized with creating many DEI&B related events, while again, connecting the women of Wayne County to resources. 
Latanya is a Board of Director of the Women Officials Network Foundation. Latanya is a proud 2022 Michigan Chronicle 40 under 40 Honoree. 
She was an Instructional Assistant at Wolverine Pathways |University of Michigan where she educated and prepared youth for college.
